The flowers at a funeral service address themselves to the deceased person as a final ‘thank you’, a last reverence. But they are also there for the mourners, solemnly framing the last moment of farewell and lending them hope for the future.

The wreath – having neither beginning nor end – is a traditional mourning symbol which stands for eternal life. Flowers and candles at the funeral service symbolize hope and light.
